Sliding glass door tracks have a spline on the bottom track that the wheels ride on.
This provides support and keeps the panel in alignment with the frame.
If the wheels are not maintained (lubricated) this can cause the bearings in the wheels to wear out which in turn causes the wheel to wobble which puts flat spots in your track spline.
You do not have to replace the whole frame or track. We can install what is called a track cap or cover. It is stainless steel and will not rust. It gives the wheels a new stronger surface to ride on. It is made for this propose.
